About Kups Krazy Dogs

Welcome to Kups Krazy Dogs located at 259 Main St., Islip, NY., my name is Rich Kuplen, CEO. Serving fresh unique food, cold drinks, at an affordable price, along your commute, is my mission and my pleasure. I have always been passionate about cooking, which began years before opening the Kups Krazy Dogs hot dog trolley.

In 2017, I was lead cook at my father‘s Irish pub, Mary Dowling‘s in Islip N.Y. Working there gave me the skill set I needed and experience in creating and cooking good food and also sparked something in me, igniting my passion to begin working on my own business plan, and building the hot dog trolley you see today.

In my spare time, I personally built this unique custom hot dog trolley. I would take time customizing the walls, the lights, the metal work etc. since building is another passion of mine. Once I was ready to open up my own business I went through the necessary requirements and permits needed. My vision became a reality and opened the trolley in 2021 at my first location in Brentwood, thanks to the help of the Garafolo family. As the months progressed, I was able to gain a name for myself in that area, but wanted to expand even more. Eventually, I received approval from the town of Islip to move my hot dog trolley to my second and current location at 259 Main St., Islip, NY.

Back in the town that first sparked my desire to cook, I am excited to provide a unique food experience to all my customers and to see familiar faces and meet new people along the way.
